What's your stance on prohibiting high-speed stock trading?

Top Comment: I think even once-per-day is unambiguously too infrequent. Something like once per second or once per tenth of a second is what is usually thrown around. These are called "Frequent Batch Auctions." There are plenty of convincing reasons for why limiting HFT in this way would be a good thing, and I know of basically no reasons for why it would be a bad thing.
Arbitrage Trade Speed on Cryptohopper?
Main Post:
Anyone tried the CryptoHopper arbitrage bot ? What’s the speed of transcription and transfer across one exchange to the others ?
Obviously key to success in arbitrage is speed.
Any success anyone had using Cryptohopper for this, how’s it compare to averages of Arbitage Index (say for Bitcoin) ? How many signals a day it alert for say >1%?
And does it automatically do all the trades, eg say buy BTC with USD on Binance, buy ETH with BTC on KuCoin, then sell ETH on KTX (after determining that arbitrage exists) ? How long for the bot to process that ?
Any inputs from people already using appreciated

Internet speed & wireless or wired?
Main Post:
Hey,
I am going to be renting a place soon and a lot of the places already provide internet. I am curious what people that day trade are using for internet speeds and how much of a difference it makes, IE if you have a fast enough connection will it make a difference by going even faster?
My local provider has 3 packages ranging from 150 Mbps -> 940 Mbps -> 1500 Mbps download speeds. I would go with the 940 anyways (if I end up getting my own connection) because it's only $10 per month more but would the final upgrade to 1500 be worth it?
Also, I know a lot of gamers swear by hard wired connection is this something people here are using over wifi?
Thanks, I am really just curious what various people here are using or what the standard is. I haven't traded before but find it interesting and want to start out with the right tools. All the Best.
Edit: And yeah I also plan on buying a UPS. They are handy to have anyways.

Not worth it. Think of internet speed like a freeway. The larger the number the more lanes you can drive on the freeway. But that doesn’t mean that the traffic on the freeway is moving fast.
You can have all the traffic on a fourteen lane freeway all going five miles an hour. Or you could have traffic on a two lane freeway going seventy miles an hour. Which one would you rather be on? The speed of the traffic is “latency” in internet terms. You need enough mps to handle your information flow but after a certain point more doesn’t help. Gamers want the lowest latency because they get the information faster. Nothing sucks more than being delayed when someone is shooting at you and you don’t know it until too late. The same goes for trading. You want the information as quick as possible. But just getting the biggest pipe 1450 Mbs is the whole answer to the question. I have a 200 mbs connection where I am at and I can stream several things and trade easily and fast because my latency is low and I have enough bandwidth for what I am doing.
Hope this helps.
